How To Look Slimmer Without Losing Weight

Many of us face problems with a bit of extra weight on a daily basis. Even though we work on this problem as much as we can for the betterment of both our health and appearance by working out, there are times we want to look that bit slimmer without waiting for the results of our workouts to show. Special occasions like weddings, first dates, anniversaries, and business meetings warrant special measures and there are definitely ways we can look slimmer without losing weight.

Below are ways you can look slimmer without losing any weight.

Wear what fits you best
Looking slimmer is sometimes governed by what you wear. Try different sizes, because each manufacturer has their own scale of values. Choose the size that fits you best, not the size that you want to fit you. If you wear clothes which are too tight, they will make you look fat by showing bulges that you'd prefer to hide. Clothes that fit you make you look classy. Clothes that are too tight and show bulges in the right places just make you look bad.

Wear high heels
Do not worry, you don't need to walk all day in 10 cm thin heels and get swollen feet that really hurt (although they really make you look tall!). Four cm of a heel will give you the required additional amount and it will be comfortable to wear, according to most women who wear them in their everyday lives. Avoid shoes which are folding the knee and which cover your leg line.

Wear trousers
Trousers would have to be long enough to cover at least half the heel. Straight trousers legs lengthen your legs. Do not wear French trousers or cut pants. Pants should adhere to your body, but they shouldn't squeeze.

Highlight your qualities
Highlighting your best body parts draws attention to them and makes you look slimmer generally. If you have a slim waist, wear a belt around it or a shirt which follows the waistline. You have beautiful legs? Wear a skirt above your knee. If your hands are thin, remove the sleeves, or try with short sleeves.

Vertical lines

Wear clothing decorated with vertical lines. Vertical lines really do make you look taller and slimmer. Horizontal lines add unwanted volume to your silhouette.

Obviously, your long term aim should be to eat healthy and exercise in order to reach your optimal weight, however, there is no reason why you can't look good along the way if you follow the advice above.
